Charlotte product Stephen Curry has been invited to compete in the three-point contest in his hometown during All-Star weekend. Last year Curry did not compete in the competition when it was held in Los Angeles. This year we might see Curry, the 43.7 percent three-point shooter compete for the title in front of his hometown friends and family.

Curry himself won the competition back in 2015, a year before teammate and fellow Splash Brother Klay Thompson beat him out in the final round of 2016’s shootout. The list of contestants is still yet to be determined, but Klay Thompson is expected to be invited as well, a source told Yahoo! Sports.
A rematch between Curry and Thompson would be an exciting storyline before the contest if both players choose to accept the invitation. With some of the leagues most elite shooters expected to participate, look out for another battle between the Warriors two hottest shooters in Charlotte on February 16th.
