The San Francisco Giants just finished their two game sweep of the Toronto Blue Jays.
Wednesday’s win came on the back of something rare in Giants baseball these days – offense. The Giants crushed five home runs and batted in 11 in the two-game series. Homering four times yesterday, the Giants bats would continued to bode well against Blue Jays pitching on Wednesday afternoon.
Pablo Sandoval, who was their designated hitter for both games, homered for his second-straight game after Jays pitcher, Clay Buchholz, tried to pitch The Panda inside. Though if Sandoval has proven anything over the years, it’s that he can hit a ball anywhere in or out of the strike zone. With today’s home run, Sandoval has recorded the team’s two hardest hit balls of the season, one off his home run in the 5th (112.4 MPH) and the other on a ground-out in his very next at bat (111.0 MPH).
Sandoval has been undoubtedly hot recently, hitting .333 with two homers and five RBIs. Last night he also became the first Giant this year to have a three-hit game. With the way Sandoval is swinging the bat, it’s hard to imagine him not getting more playing time from here on out.
Pablo Sandoval just became the first #SFGiants player to record a three-hit game this season. He has two singles and a homer and is the team's best hitter right now.

Though the Giants saw a surge of power in Toronto they are far from an offensive powerhouse with their best hitters, Steven Duggar and Buster Posey, leading the team in hitting with only .230 batting averages.
