OAKLAND — The Clippers are not going away easily in Wednesday night’s elimination game, and Patrick Beverley is a huge reason for that. Beverley continued to be a thorn in the Warriors’ side during the first half of Game 5, knocking down four three pointers, snatching nine rebounds, and playing his signature brand of hyperactive defense.
Beverley picked right up where he left off in the third quarter, and baited Draymond Green into a technical foul during one of the weirdest plays we’ve ever seen. After losing his shoe on the offensive end, Beverley ran down the court with it in his hand and defended Green in the post. Green barreled into Beverley, spilling both the player and the sneaker, in what was ruled as a charge. Green then stepped over Beverley earning himself a technical.

The technical is Draymond’s first of the postseason. An accumulation of seven technicals throughout the playoffs will lead to a one game suspension.
