Mac Williamson hits 3-run homer in second at-bat following call up

Stay hot Mac Williamson.

In his second at-bat with the big league club following his call-up on Tuesday, Williamson launched a thee-run home run into the left-field bleachers at Coors Field, to give the Giants a 4-1 fourth-inning lead. The big fly continues a red hot streak for Williamson, who smacked three, yes three, home runs in a game with Triple-A Sacramento less than 24 hours ago. One of which was projected to travel an incredible 511 feet.

Williamson has been on a tear in Triple-A to start the season, posting a .378 batting average, .459 on-base percentage, 1.215 OPS, and nine home runs in just 98 plate appearances. Just over a month ago it looked like Williamson’s time with the Giants was done after he was scratched from the opening day roster for the likes of Connor Joe and Michael Reed.

Williamson got the start on Tuesday in left field and sixth in the Giants’ batting order.
