Who knew the Giants might outplay Stephen Curry?
Through six innings, the Giants were ahead of the Dodgers on Friday, 2-0, after a Kevin Pillar RBI single finally allowed a team to brake through in a pitching duel.
With Brandon Belt on second and Evan Longoria on first with one out, Pillar hit a shot to left off Clayton Kershaw. Chris Taylor came up with it cleanly and fired home, slightly up the first-base line. Belt slid in safely, just beating the scrambling Austin Barnes. A Brandon Crawford ground ball then scored Longoria, and the Giants were rolling after five strong innings by Drew Pomeranz.
