OAKLAND — Klay Thompson left late in the third quarter of Thursday’s Game 6 with what looked like a serious injury to his left knee. Thompson landed awkwardly after his layup was contested by Danny Green on the fast break. The leg appeared to buckle, and a nightmarish scenario seemed to unfold when Klay had to be helped by two teammates to the locker room.
Moments later, Thompson amazingly came back onto the court under his own power, and drained two free throws before heading back to the locker room.

According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, Thompson will not return to Game 6. The good news is, Thompson did not hear the knee pop.

Klay told his father Mychal that the knee didn’t pop when he landed awkwardly on that dunk. Still, the Warriors are ruling him out for the rest of this game.
