The Warriors would prefer their success does not come to a screeching halt. Ahead of a free agency period that could define the next half-decade, the team made moves that it will hope can preserve its dynastic run of three titles in the last five years by anchoring itself to two men who helped build it.

According to the New York Times’ Marc Stein, the Warriors reached multi-year contract extensions with president of basketball operations Bob Myers and president and chief operating officer Rick Welts:

After nine years with the Phoenix Suns, Welts joined the Warriors in October 2011 as team president, before being promoted to his current role in 2014. Myers has also been with the Warriors since 2011, when he initially joined the team as assistant general manager. Myers was promoted to general manager a year later, and after the 2016-17 season, the team added president of basketball operations to his title.
