Klay Thompson has stated he wants to retire as a member of the Warriors, and it looks like he’ll take one giant step towards that goal when the free agency period begins on Sunday. Golden State will offer Thompson a max deal worth $190 million over the next five years according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

After sustaining a torn ACL in Game 6 of the NBA Finals Thompson is expected to miss a good portion of next season, but reports have Thompson eyeing an early return, possibly in February. Since being selected by the Warriors with the 11th overall pick in 2011, Thompson has been selected to the All-Star team five-times in eight NBA seasons. Klay averaged 21.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game last season.
