It wasn’t a great night for the San Francisco Giants. It was a worse one for the San Jose Giants.
Heliot Ramos, the organization’s No. 2 prospect, was removed from a High-A San Jose game after appearing to get hit on the hand with a pitch.
The home-plate umpire ruled the Lake Elsinore pitch hit his bat, but Ramos doubled over in pain and was looked at by trainers for several minutes. Joe Ritzo, the team’s play-by-player, said it was his left hand. There was no immediate update on Ramos.
