A surreal video was posted to Instagram Thursday via NFL Films, showing former Rams coach Jeff Fisher announcing that he’d just been fired to his coaching staff.
Fisher gets emotional as he thanks his shocked staff who sat listening to him in silence. One of the members of his staff is former 49ers head coach Mike Singletary, who leaves his seat at the end of the video to give Fisher a parting handshake.

Fisher was fired 13 games into his fifth season as the Rams’ head coach, after the team posted a 4-9 record, in what was shaping up to be the fifth losing season of Fisher’s tenure.
