How do you stay in the MVP race? Keep making plays like this.
Mike Yastrzemski can’t seem to go a game without making the highlight reel, even when the Giants get blown out. Yaz robbed Justin Turner of a seventh inning home run in game one of Thursday’s double header vs. the Dodgers, leaping over the center field fence and receiving a hat tip from Turner.
Ultimately the incredible catch didn’t matter, as the Giants lost the game 7-0, not to mention that Yaz dropped a fly ball during the next at bat. But we like to focus on the positive here at KNBR.com, and Yaz’s leaping catch was by far the most exciting play of the day.
