OAKLAND–The Golden State Warriors did not make it through their season-opener unscathed.
At the beginning of the fourth quarter, forward Draymond Green was forced to the Warriors’ locker room with a knee injury that Golden State later termed a knee strain. Green was ruled out for the remainder of the team’s contest against the Houston Rockets.
The Warriors’ star left the game one point shy of recording a triple-double, as he finished the evening with nine points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists in just 28 minutes on the floor.

Green sat out Golden State’s final preseason contest against the Sacramento Kings on Friday, but that was due to a back sprain.
It’s unclear whether Green will be ready to play by the start of the Warriors’ three-game road trip, which begins Friday in New Orleans.
Golden State was without Andre Iguodala on Tuesday night, as Iguodala missed the season-opener with a back injury.
