The Giants have agreed to a minor-league deal with longtime Blue Jays outfielder Melvin Upton Jr. sources have told Mark Feinsand of MLB.com. Upton Jr. will begin his tenure with the club’s Triple-A affiliate Sacramento River Cats.

Giants Triple-A pitcher receives 142-game suspension
Sacramento River Cats reliever Jose Dominguez received a 142-day suspension without pay by Major League Baseball Thursday, after testing positive for metabolites of Stanozolol, the league announced. The failed test is Dominguez’ second since entering the league in 2013.
