Starting his 4th year as host of the weekend postgame show “Extra Innings,” Bill Laskey brings excitement with current and alumni player interviews, taking calls from baseball fans of all ages and reflecting on his career pitching for the Orange and Black!
Bill started on KNBR’s “SportsPhone 680” and continued to bring his energy with Vida Blue as the host of “On the Hill with Vida and Bill” for 3 years on KNBR.
Currently, Bill just completed his 16th year as coordinator of the San Francisco Giants Fantasy Camp in January in Scottsdale, Arizona, and his 4th camp at Oracle Park doing the two-day Giants Fantasy Camp in November.
Bill pitched 14 years in professional baseball for the San Francisco Giants, Montreal Expos, and Cleveland Indians. He led the Giants in wins, ERA and most innings pitched in 1982 and 1983. He was a pitcher for the month of May for the National League in 1983 and received Rookie Right Hander of the Year from Baseball Digest and Topps Baseball cards in 1982. Bill has been inducted into the City of Toledo Hall of Fame as well as Woodward High School Hall of Fame in Toledo, Ohio.
