The 2018 San Francisco Giants, 63 wins, 66 losses at this writing, are not going to the World Series. They’re not going to the playoffs, either. Not even a second wild card is in the offing, sports fans.

As training camp starts in Santa Clara — only two weeks until the exhibition opener vs Dallas! — the 49ers are in the best place they’ve been in since the names reporting included Justin Smith and Frank Gore and Patrick Willis.

Is it reasonable to be upset with the Giants front office for the 2018 team they’ve built, which so far appears to be inadequate?

The Giants have to finally start showing us they mean business, and are not a collection of older, bruised bodies fighting to stay even.
