The story of Aldon Smith is one that only gets sadder over time. The former San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders defensive end has found himself in more legal trouble, reportedly on the charge of a fourth DUI. 

It’s been a rough start to the 2019 season for the San Francisco Giants, and the latest round of NL All-Star voting reflects that.

Warriors general manager Bob Myers revealed after Game 5 that the Warriors believe Kevin Durant sustained an Achilles injury in the second quarter of Golden State’s win over Toronto.

As Game 5 approached and his status remained in doubt, there were those who began to question his commitment, and whether or not he was actually healthy enough to play.

The Toronto Raptors fans will be embarrassed about this one for a long time.

After the game, Raptors head coach Nick Nurse shared his appreciation for Durant.

General Manager Bob Myers had the thankless task of making the announcement after the Warriors’ incredible 106-105 win Monday night. He could not hide his emotions, crying throughout the announcement, clearly feeling some level of guilt for a situation that went from bad to catastrophic.

Kevin Durant’s season is likely done. The Warriors star suffered an Achilles injury in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, clutching his right ankle area after trying to make a cut to his left while being defended by Serge Ibaka.

It was off to such a promising start. Kevin Durant looked healthy, active and much like his old self. Then, with one cut, Durant’s night, and likely his season, was over.

The last time Kevin Durant played in an NBA basketball game, it was May 8. It’s taken 33 days, but Durant is apparently ready to step back on the court.
