Former 49ers and current Raiders linebacker Aldon Smith has entered rehab after a domestic violence incident last weekend, according to TMZ Sports. The victim in the alleged incident, Smith’s fiancee, told TMZ that her parents took Smith to rehab upon his request.

The Hawks had a shot at the end of the game to send it to overtime, but Golden State heads back to The Bay on a five game win streak.

49ers starting running back Carlos Hyde is a free agent, and the jury is still out as to whether or not the team is planning on re-signing him. It’s most likely that San Francisco would be willing to bring him back at the right price, but even if they do, it’s not out of the question that with all their cap room, the 49ers wouldn’t also look to acquire another back to pair with Hyde next season.

Giants CEO Larry Baer joined Murph & Mac from spring training in Scottsdale on Friday morning, and announced that the club and KNBR have agreed to extend their partnership through the 2021 season. For the next four years, Giants baseball will continue to be exclusively broadcast on KNBR 680.

After finishing with the same record and tied for three other draft tiebreakers, the 49ers won a coin toss at the NFL Scouting Combine over the Raiders on Friday, awarding the team with the 9th pick in the first round of the NFL Draft.

On Wednesday evening Gilbert Arenas joined Ryan Covay on KNBR Tonight, and told an incredible story involving a Fran Tarkenton throwback jersey, chicken wings and former teammate Chris Mills. Arenas didn’t detail exactly when the story took place, but we can assume it was sometime between 2001 and 2003, when the two were teammates with the Warriors.

Speaking to reporters at Warriors shoot around on Thursday, Steve Kerr was asked about Donald Trump’s recent comments regarding gun control, when the President appeared to reverse his original stance, saying he’s in favor of expanding background checks and increasing the age of purchase to 21.

Over two weeks later at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, general manager John Lynch made his first public comments on the matter, but didn’t say all that much.
