Reid told the media on Thursday that Shanahan and general manager John Lynch said “no” when Reid asked them if they could ensure he’d be on the team next season. The 49ers said they wouldn’t offer Eric Reid a contract, despite the fact he’s moving to linebacker. That discussion is tabled until the team sees what Reid can do at the position.
The legislation in question would ban mechanisms that can make a semi-automatic weapon an automatic weapon, like the ones used on firearms during the tragic shooting in Las Vegas that left 58 people dead and 546 injured.
