C.J. Beathard finally got his chance.

After five straight losses and a discouraging performance in his sixth start of the year, Brian Hoyer was replaced by rookie C.J. Beathard.

Kaepernick has been out of work since the end of last season after opting out of his contract with San Francisco in March.
