The 49ers’ final 53-man roster is set, at least for the moment.

August 31 finally marked the end of Joshua Garnett’s woeful tenure with the San Francisco 49ers.

According to everybody, the San Francisco Giants were supposed to trade Madison Bumgarner at the deadline.

It’s August 30. By 4 p.m., the San Francisco 49ers will have 53 players on their roster. This piece will be updated as cuts happen throughout the day, until the team eventually gets down to that number.

This news comes as little surprise. After tearing his ACL on September 1 of last year, Jerick McKinnon could not get healthy. McKinnon had a “flare up” just before camp started which saw him placed on physically unable to perform list.

Few players define being on the bubble more perfectly than Azeez Al-Shaair.
