The Western Conference Finals is heading to the Bay Area and the series is tied 1-1. After stealing home-court advantage from the Rockets with a Game 1 victory, the Warriors stumbled in Game 2 with a 127-105 loss in Houston.

When a team wins 65 games it’s not a mirage.

The Rockets emphatically responded to a 13-point Game 1 loss, defeating the Warriors 127-105 Thursday night.

Festus Ezeli’s final game as a member of the Golden State Warriors was pretty rough. In Game 7 of the NBA Finals vs. the Cavs in 2016, Ezeli went a game low minus -9 in his 11 minutes on the floor, and finished the game with zero points (0-for-4) and a single rebound, in a 93-89 loss.

For the 35 minutes that Stephen Curry was on the floor in Game 1 on Monday, the Houston Rockets targeted him defensively on nearly ever possession. Typically this manifested in Curry’s man setting a high screen for James Harden, leading to Curry being forced to switch onto the likely MVP.

In the most anticipated game of the season, The Golden State Warriors took Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals in Houston on Monday night, taking back home court advantage, beating the Rockets 119-106 behind a 37 performance by KD.

It appears Chris Paul was ready for business Monday night.

It appears the Warriors guard has recovered from a scary-looking back injury as well as anyone could have hoped.
