If the NBA playoffs started Saturday night, the Warriors would find themselves pitched against a young and hungry Denver Nuggets team in the one-eight matchup. It would take an alignment of the stars for the Nuggets to knock the champions off their perch, but Saturday showed it’s not out of the realm of possibility.
Late in the third quarter, Kevon Looney grabbed his own offensive board after missing a shot, went up again and got hit in the face. The broadcast team quickly realized that Looney had one of his teeth knocked out.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr had the first Twitter gaffe of his career on Thursday evening, when he sent out a tweet commenting on a James Harden highlight, calling what he saw as an uncalled traveling violation an “embarrassment.” Kerr quickly deleted the tweet, but not before a screenshot was taken.
In case you’re unaware, Red Panda, whose real name is Rong Niu, often performs an incredible routine at halftime at Oracle Arena, and throughout the country, where she rides a seven-foot tall unicycle while flipping bowls from her feet to her head. It’s pretty incredible.
After reading the report that connected him to the Warriors this upcoming offseason, LeBron James called out the report as nothing short of “nonsense.”
We know how much Steve Kerr hates traveling, but a particular play on Thursday night annoyed the Warriors head coach enough to voice his displeasure on Twitter…and then subsequently delete the post.
