For much of the Golden State Warriors’ previous 10 games, they’ve been without their best player on both ends: two-time MVP Stephen Curry and reigning Defensive Player of the Year Draymond Green.

In another back-and-forth battle at Staples Center, the Warriors spoiled Kobe Bryant’s halftime ceremony to retire his No. 8 and 24 with a…victory over the Lakers.

Jordan Bell has become accustomed to sending away opponents at the rim and on Monday night, the Warriors’ rookie authored another highlight-reel moment with a monstrous swat of Lakers’ forward Brandon Ingram.

For the fourth time in five games, Draymond Green will be out of the Warriors lineup when they face the Lakers at Staples Center on Monday night. The issue is with his right shoulder, and has been described as soreness caused by wear and tear. Still, it’s a bit odd that the injury has lingered, and head coach Steve Kerr is starting to get worried at how slowly the healing process is taking. Green has not participated in practice for a week.

When the Warriors travel to Los Angeles on Monday night, there’s a decent chance the team looks more like its Santa Cruz G-League affiliate than it does the world champions who hail from Oakland.

While Lacob isn’t involved in the A’s plans yet, it’s not out of the question for the Warriors’ ownership to become involved with Oakland’s baseball franchise in the future.
