Matt Barnes played on nine different NBA teams during his 14-season career, and in the summer of 2017, his dream came true. The Bay Area native wanted a ring, and when the Golden State Warriors came calling last season, Barnes answered.
Prior to the start of the Warriors’ matchup with the Kings on Monday night, Golden State head coach Steve Kerr addressed David Fizdale’s firing, admitting that he was “shocked,” by the news of the dismissal.
The Warriors were named the Best Model Franchise in Professional Sports based on a reader survey done by SportsBusiness Journal, beating out the San Antonio Spurs and New England Patriots.
After 14 years in the NBA, forward Matt Barnes will receive his championship ring from former teammate Draymond Green before the Warriors take on the Sacramento Kings Monday night.
