Two brave souls decided to leave Draymond Green off their ballots for Defensive Player of the Year. One, Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders, took to Twitter to explain why he decided to omit Green from his ballot.

Draymond Green has been named the NBA’s 2016-17 Defensive Player of the Year after two years in a row of finishing in second to Kawhi Leonard. This year, the roles were reversed and Leonard finished behind Green after both were earlier today named to the All-Defensive First Team.

Bob Myers had a fairly successful offseason last summer. Seems like signing Kevin Durant is enough to get you named Executive of the Year. Myers, a no-brainer for the award, earned that honor Monday night.

Draymond to Steph to KD. Two passes that spanned the length of the court, the ball never hit the ground, and Durant finished with a slam. On Monday, the play from December of 2016 took home Assist of the Year at the NBA Awards.

Eric Gordon was named the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year during the year-end awards show on Monday night, beating out fellow finalists Andre Iguodala and Lou Williams.
