The Warriors are used to being favorites, in terms of both individual games and season championships. For 2017-18, however, the Dubs are reportedly already the highest preseason favorite in the history of any sport.

The Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games to win their second championship in three seasons. Sleepy Floyd joined The Audible on KNBR 1050 to discuss his thoughts on the win and why he believes the Dubs will be competing for more titles in years to come.

The Warriors’ title parade will begin at 10 a.m. in downtown Oakland on Thursday morning. In 2015, about 1 million people showed up for the festivities, but reports have estimated that this up to 2 million could attend.

With a championship and a Finals MVP in tow, Kevin Durant has validated his decision to join the Warriors last season in pursuit of a title. Durant was absolutely dominant throughout the series, averaging 35.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.6 blocks pergame in the Finals.

The Warriors’ recent run of success and promise of more to come may have fans reminiscing about another Bay Area dynasty – the 1980s 49ers. With comparisons aplenty, the Dubs just need the titles to match the Niners at this point.

Nike endorser Kevin Durant won the Finals MVP award Monday night after leading the Warriors to their second title in three years. As soon as the game ended, Nike aired a one-minute commercial to salute the superstar. It did not disappoint.

In the wake of the Warriors’ second NBA title in three years, there is already an important question being raised. Will the Dubs take the customary championship visit to the White House? CNBC’s Josh Brown, among others, said he’d seen reports the Warriors had unanimously voted to skip the White House visit.
