One thing is for certain: for people who are predisposed to dislike the Warriors , Sunday is more fuel. Should the Warriors bounce the Spurs without Kawhi, the “lucky” narrative will resurface like a Hatorade-guzzling zombie.

The Warriors told the media afterwards he was battling some left knee soreness. Acting coach Mike Brown said Iguodala looked hobbled, which is why he didn’t play in the second half. Iguodala was unavailable to reporters in the locker room after the 113-110 Game 1 win.

ABC’s cameras showed a clip of Coach Kerr at halftime talking to his team, who at the time were down 20 points to the visiting Spurs. In the video, Kerr didn’t seem to worried about his team, and focused mainly on the defensive side of the ball.

Even though we are facing against them, I’m pretty sure we are capable of beating anybody.”

Steph Curry hit a 3 with 2 minutes left, Draymond Green finished an And-1 layup underneath the hoop and Curry hit a leaning floater with 13 seconds left, sealing the deal for the Warriors. LaMarcus Aldridge missed a corner 3 that would’ve sent the game to overtime.

Prior to Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, Popovich was asked whether he found himself distracted in recent months concerning Trump and the unusual state of the country. The 68-year-old Popovich did not hold back.

Kerr will reportedly be in attendance on Sunday for the first time since taking a leave of absence from the team after Game 2 of the first round series against Portland. On Saturday, Kerr was seen at Warriors practice for the first time since Mike Brown took over as interim head coach.
