It may not have been Game 3 of the first round of the 2007 NBA Playoffs for the Stephen Jackson and the rest of the “We Believe” squad Tuesday night at Oracle Arena, but the ovation they received still deafening.

Before the game, Stephen Jackson, Monta Ellis and Jason Richardson held a press conference to talk about the legacy of the team. They were also visited by special media guest Baron Davis.

Zaza Pachulia spoke with media Tuesday, and he said that the Warriors will have both players available Tuesday night. “Those two guys did a great job for us throughout the year,” said Pachulia. “So we definitely like to have everybody. And we do have everybody tonight (Tuesday).”

During the first game of the series the Warriors will honor the “We Believe” team, which shocked the NBA world by beating the Dallas Mavericks as the 8th seed in 2007. Coincidentally the Warriors were then defeated by the Utah Jazz in the next round. Tom Tolbert believes this series will have a different outcome as the warriors combine one of the most prolific offenses in the game with an incredibly stingy defense.

While the hot shooting wasn’t completely unexpected from the explosive Rockets, the defense was. Houston was active in rotating to San Antonio’s shooters and had both defenders stay on Kawhi Leonard on screens.

Because the 49ers netted Rueben Foster with the No. 31 overall pick — and used an extra third round pick to land him — pretty much every expert gave San Francisco an A in their NFL Draft grades.

OAKLAND— Warriors head coach Steve Kerr missed games 3 and 4 of the Warriors’ first-round sweep of the Portland Trail Blazers as he continues to battle complications from back surgery performed on him almost two years ago. Assistant coach Mike Brown has filled in admirably in Kerr’s absence, and members of the organization seem to be prepared for Kerr to not return to the court this postseason.

OAKLAND – This one might have been a little too soon for Giants fans liking.

The Golden State Warriors announced the schedule for the team’s Western Conference Semifinals series against the Utah Jazz, which begins Tuesday, May 2, at Oracle Arena.

After taking Tuesday and Thursday off following their first-round sweep, the Warriors practiced for a second straight day Saturday. They plan to practice again on Sunday and then again Monday once they know their second-round opponent.
