Basketball players can be categorized at times in two way: those who play below the rim and those who play above it. Damian Lillard is one of those special players who can do both. JaVale McGee makes his NBA money playing way, way above it.

“Regardless of race, color, creed, gender, political preference, religious preference, it’s important for everybody to just try to bring some joy to the world,” Steve Kerr said on Sunday.

The Warriors finished the season winning 15 of their last 16 games, which included a 14-game win streak. Green went on to say there’s another key difference between this year and last…the rosters are drastically different. The obvious change is future Hall-of-famer Kevin Durant. But the rest of the frontcourt has also taken a drastically different shape than the 2015-16 version. Gone are Andrew Bogut, Festus Ezeli and Harrison Barnes (all NBA champions). In are Zaza Pachulia, JaVale McGee and Matt Barnes – all chasing their first ring.

A storyline that’ll only intensify as the Warriors march their way to June is how much opposing defenses attempt to bruise and batter Curry — and how much will the referees call it?

Curry’s teammate Draymond Green believes there are a number of different reasons why Curry is looked down upon and considered soft by some of his peers. Green told Thompson on their podcast Draymond Day that Steph’s light-skin tone, upbringing and size have also lead to prejudice against the two-time MVP.

Though it didn’t quite live up to the impossible expectations set by the 73-win regular season in 2015-16, the 2016-17 Warriors were once again an NBA juggernaut for the third year running.
