It’s been just another ho-hum night at the office for Stephen Curry and the Warriors. They’ve thoroughly handled one of the hottest teams in the NBA, and swept what might have been the hardest week of their year. All without Kevin Durant.

When Kevin Durant came to town, it was obvious that a few members of the team were going to have to take a downsized scoring role. Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry’s shot attempts weren’t going to suffer, but Green has taken a backseat – and in doing so – shown his value to the team in other ways.

OAKLAND – The Golden State Warriors have faired pretty well since Kevin Durant went down with a knee injury, playing so well that some members of the media have suggested that the Warriors are actually a better team with Kevin Durant sitting on the bench.

Despite having lost two in a row, Washington (46-30) will take the court Sunday tied with Toronto (46-30) for the No. 3 seed in the East. The Raptors, who host Philadelphia on Sunday, hold the tiebreaker by virtue of winning the season series 2-1.

Halfway through the third quarter cameras caught Draymond Green punching down on James Harden’s injured left wrist. Reporters asked Green about the move after the game and his answer was swift.

Harden’s god-given abilities that have the Rockets sitting in pretty position with the No. 3 seed have been nowhere to be found against the Warriors. Harden went 4-for-18 on Friday, 2-for-9 from 3 and another 6 turnovers. There’s a pattern with his play against the Warriors. Maybe he’s trying to do too much?

Ever so slightly, the Warriors kept chipping away at a 13-point deficit they faced in the second quarter. Andre Iguodala hit a buzzer beating 3 at halftime, Steph Curry scored 14 third quarter points (finished with 22) and JaVale McGee played perhaps his best game of the season.

During a timeout in the 4th quarter of an extremely contentious game between the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets, Kevin Durant found some time to get some shots up.

As you’d expect…the two have pretty decent shots for how old they are. It also appears that Dad might have been able to talk to teammate Kevin to get the kids outfitted with some sneakers.
