Playing on the second night of a back-to-back, a trip down to South Beach did not go as expected for the Warriors.

The Warriors and Thunder meet two more times this season, including February 11th in Oklahoma City. That game will also mark Kevin Durant’s first game in Oklahoma City since signing with the Warriors in the off-season.

Curry scored 27 points and Thompson had 21. The Warriors shot 19 of 42 overall from 3-point range while the Magic went 7 for 28.

The Warriors have played each of their final two opponents of last season in the past week, and have won big in both games. However, their next opponent may be even tougher. This vote could actually be a blessing in disguise for Warriors fans. Green will use it to light a fire under himself and Thompson generally follows Draymond’s lead.

The next question: Will all three of the other Warriors’ stars make the squad? Kevin Durant will be an automatic qualifier, but it’ll be interesting to see if either Draymond Green or Klay Thompson get spurned.

The loss of West is Golden State’s first significant injury issue of the season, and the veteran’s presence with the second unit will be missed, especially after establishing himself as the team’s best big off the bench in recent months.
