Austin Slater headed to disabled list with hip flexor injury
If you’re a young San Francisco Giants’ player, good luck staying healthy. Hours after the Giants placed 23-year-old infielder Ryder Jones on the disabled list with a wrist contusion, rookie left fielder Austin Slater suffered a hip flexor injury in the bottom of the eighth inning of San Francisco’s 6-1 loss to the Miami Marlins.
