We are coming to the end of the 2021 regular season and yes, we are already talking about next year’s schedule.

The 49ers’ 2021 schedule is here, and with it are all the gut reactions and immediate predictions for how this season, which features 17 games for the first time, will play out.

It’s one of the silliest days of the year, folks: the NFL schedule release. Today is the today we can finally play out the season in our minds and convince ourselves of why a team either will or will not succeed before training camp starts. 

The 49ers’ 2020 schedule has been released. Unlike most schedule releases, there’s actually some significance to this one.

It will be another two months before the NFL releases its official schedule, but the 49ers know who they’ll be playing and where.

After having only one prime-time game during the 2017 NFL season, the 49ers will have five prime-time contests in the 2018 campaign.

The Bay Area teams will square off in prime-time during the upcoming season.
