David West has signed on to play one more season with the Golden State Warriors. On Friday, the 14-year veteran was honored for his work off the court.
After reportedly mulling retirement, center David West has re-signed with the Warriors for one final season, according to a report from David Aldridge.
“I’m thinking about it. I am kinda leaning towards playing again, probably just going to give it another few days or so. It’s one of those things, if I do keep playing it’s going to be out here because it’s such a great spot, I really enjoy the environment, I enjoy the vibe.”
A fan sitting court side, with close ties to LeBron James according to ESPN, was tossed by security during the third quarter, after getting into a verbal altercation with Matt Barnes.
When you have a handful of the best players of the last decade squaring off against each other, it certainly makes it harder for the lesser known individual players to grab the spotlight.

The loss of West is Golden State’s first significant injury issue of the season, and the veteran’s presence with the second unit will be missed, especially after establishing himself as the team’s best big off the bench in recent months.
