It appears Madison Bumgarner’s time in San Francisco is coming to a close, teams across the league are apparently “concerned” about a troubling trend when discussing the idea of trading for the longtime ace.

On Saturday, San Francisco Giants superstar Buster Posey talked with Garry & Larry about all things baseball at Giants FanFest. 

After an uneven rookie campaign, former No. 3 overall pick Solomon Thomas was expected to feature more consistently in 2018.

Giants beat writer Henry Schulman joined Gary & Larry on Monday and said that with Pence and Jackson struggling like this, the Giants know they are going to have to make a change soon.

The Giants are 20-21 at the quarter pole of the season, but that should be seen as a success considering everything that’s happened.

The Giants have been without Madison Bumgarner all season, after the ace broke the pinkie on his throwing hand during his final tune-up start in spring training. The good news is that Bumgarner is now expected to begin throwing off a mound next week, putting most estimations for his return around early June.

On Tuesday, Gary Radnich asked Giants general manager Bobby Evans about Posey’s decline in power over the years. Evans presented two possible theories.

On Thursday morning, the Santa Clara District Attorney’s office charged Reuben Foster with three felony counts, including domestic violence, for a Feb. 11 incident with his girlfriend. Shortly after, the 49ers released the following statement, implying that Foster will stay with the team at least for the time being.

In his first fill-in performance as the Giants’ closer, Hunter Strickland looked the part and then some in San Francisco’s 1-0 Opening Day victory over the Dodgers. Boasting a new-and-improved hard slider, Strickland got three consecutive outs after giving up a lead-off single to Matt Kemp for his first save of the season.

It wasn’t long ago that Madison Bumgarner made a speedy recovery from a serious injury. Because of that, Henry Schulman told Gary & Larry that it’s not impossible for Bumgarner to do the same with his current injury.
