Since when has the NBA been like the NFL with a rotating cast of contenders and champions year in and year out?. In the 90s Michael Jordan won six [championships] out of eight times. In the 80s you had Magic Johnson and Larry Bird gobbling up most of the titles.

ESPN’s Zach Lowe published a piece on Thursday detailing the redemption of Draymond Green following last year’s debacle in the NBA Finals, where his suspension from Game 5 helped Cleveland get back in the series, and ultimately overcome a 3-1 deficit.

Last week, it was reported that the Los Angeles Clippers had reached out to Warriors consultant, and long time LA resident, Jerry West, to gauge his interest in filling a similar role for the Southern California team moving forward. With his contract up this offseason, West has yet to commit to Golden State beyond this year, and reports stated that West was considering the offer to move to the Clippers’ front office.

Just minutes after suffering a heartbreaking loss to go down 3-0 in the NBA Finals, this tweet was posted from Cavaliers guard JR Smith’s account.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are in the market for a new head basketball coach after the firing of Thad Matta on Monday. One of their targets is Warriors star-assistant coach, and Ohio native, Mike Brown, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of the Vertical.

Down by five points heading into the fourth quarter of Game 3, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr decided not to deviate from the rotations he’s used all season, and elected to start the deciding stanza with both Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry on the bench.

In one swooping pull-up jumper from the top of the key, Kevin Durant effectively won the Warriors a championship, won himself a Finals MVP trophy, validated his decision to join Golden State and cemented his legacy as one of the greatest players in NBA history.

Kevin Durant hit the biggest shot of the game, but Andre Iguodala made undoubtedly the biggest defensive play. His swipe of LeBron James’ potential game-tying shot in the closing seconds iced the comeback for Golden State.
