With Steve Kerr missing the majority of the playoffs do to complications arising from back surgery he received back in 2017, there has been a measure of uncertainty when it comes to the head-coach position for the Warriors. It is possible that Kerr will be unable to coach again in these playoffs, yet the Warriors may not be too concerned about that. Kerr has been awarded the luxury of relatively care-free rest due to assistant Mike Brown leading the Warriors to a perfect 12-0 record so far this postseason.

On Wednesday, Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue made an interesting, and somewhat head scratching, remark when asked about defending the Boston Celtics’ offense without Isiah Thomas.

A Warriors assistant general manager has been officially named as the Atlanta Hawks’ new general manager and head of basketball operations the team announced on Thursday morning.

Speaking with reporters on Wednesday, the Cavaliers’ head coach said that the Boston Celtics, currently without All-Star guard Isiah Thomas, are harder to defend than the Golden State Warriors, who have beaten opponents by an average of 16.3 points while winning their first 12 games of the postseason.

Less than a half hour after the Warriors punched their ticket to the NBA Finals Monday night, Golden State owner Joe Lacob told reporters that he’s looking forward to facing the Cavs once again, and that the Warriors were the better team last year despite losing the series.

And the preseason comparison is nothing but a compliment to Bob Myers, Kerr and the rest of the Warriors teammates who recruited Durant — with their playing style and their personalities. Golden State has assembled such an impeccable roster, the only worthy opponent who could realistically beat them four times in seven games is the Cleveland Cavaliers
