Kawhi Leonard twisted his left ankle in the conference semifinals against the Houston Rockets, but now that Leonard’s Spurs are set to face the Warriors, it appears as though he will be back on the court for Sunday’s conference finals game.

The 2017 NBA Combine will be without several of the projected top picks in this year’s draft, including Lonzo Ball of UCLA, Josh Jackson of Kansas, and Malik Monk of Kentucky. Whereas the NFL Combine is a hot ticket and prospects are often scrutinized nationally for skipping the event, the NBA Combine has significantly less appeal for the NBA’s next class of players. Those who are projected to go in the lottery or better oftentimes see the event has having no power to help their stock, and instead will hold private workouts with a select group of potential suitors.

Mike Brown joined Tolbert and Lund on KNBR to talk about how the Warriors are dealing with their extended time off. He said the Golden State staff began to prepare for the Spurs as a potential conference finals opponent following San Antonio’s win in Game 5 that gave them a 3-2 lead over the Rockets.

On Monday night the Golden State Warriors sealed the deal as they swept the Utah Jazz in the second round of the playoffs, concluding with a 121-95 blowout win in Utah. The Warriors now wait for the conclusion of the Spurs and Rockets, and have a week to rest ahead of the Western Conference Finals.

After a couple of Warriors players commented on the lack of nightlife in Utah before the Western Conference Semi Finals, Draymond Green and Kevin Durant went out and enjoyed some Topgolf in Salt Lake City between Games 3 and 4.
