After missing Game 3 of the Warriors first round playoff matchup with the Blazers on Saturday, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr told reporters on Sunday that he will also not be available for Monday’s Game 4, and left open the possibility that he could miss the rest of the postseason due to complications that have resurfaced from his back surgeries last offseason.

Listed by the team as questionable with a left calf strain ahead of Game 2 of the Warriors’ first round matchup against the Blazers, Kevin Durant’s status is reportedly closer to doubtful, according to Sam Amick of USA Today.

OAKLAND— JaVale McGee has had a complicated career in the NBA, bouncing around to multiple teams and being scrutinized harshly at times for his on-court mistakes. JaVale has had a resurgence this season with the Golden State Warriors, becoming a key piece off the bench for the ball club.

In a tragic turn of events, Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas’s sister was killed in a car accident Saturday morning. Both Durant and Kerr made a point to let the Thomas family know that the entire Warriors family was thinking of them in what is obviously an incredibly difficult time for them.

At 6.8 blocks per game, the Warriors led the league by nearly one more block per game than the second-best Spurs (5.9). It helps having three guys in JaVale McGee, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green who can come off of their matchups and help defend.
