They finally got a bit of good news during a day off Friday when the NBA determined that Cleveland big men Tristan Thompson and Kevin Love wouldn’t be suspended for Game 2 on Sunday night for their roles in a late-game brawl.

Kevin Love will not be suspended for leaving the bench and being on the court during an altercation in the closing seconds of Cleveland’s 124-114 overtime loss Thursday night.

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love has been cleared to play in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, after missing Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals with a concussion.

“I admire (Kevin Love’s) willingness to come out and talk about something that is an issue for a lot of people.”

The Cleveland Cavaliers’ road to the NBA finals just got a bit tougher.

On Monday evening, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported that Kevin Love was the subject of ire in a recent Cleveland Cavaliers team meeting, where a number of players questioned the validity of an illness that caused him to leave Saturday’s game after three minutes, and miss Sunday’s practice.

The Cavaliers held an emotional and “fiery” team meeting in their practice facility locker room on Monday, in which several players questioned the “legitimacy” of Kevin Love’s illness

The Cleveland Cavaliers pursuit of Jimmy Butler and Paul George has reportedly hit a roadblock, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com. The lack of interest in All-Star forward Kevin Love, who the Cavs have been shopping as the primary chip in the deal, is the leading cause for the breakdown.

With the Warriors in prime position to win their second title over the Cavaliers in the last three seasons, Cleveland is struggling to find options that could help them take down Golden State. Because of the youth of the Warriors’ star players, they aren’t going away anytime soon barring a shocking move or freak injury.
