Marquise Goodwin

The Pro Football Writers of America today announced that 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin is the winner of the organization’s 2018 George Halas Award.

There was plenty of 49ers news at this week’s owners meetings, as Kyle Shanahan reflected on free agency and looked ahead to the 2018 season.

Marquise Goodwin has been rewarded for playing some of the best football of his career at the end of last season.

Goodwin had three of his best games of the year in the five-week undefeated span that Garoppolo orchestrated at the end of 2017, and it appears that he’s carried that momentum into the offseason. Sunday morning Goodwin posted a video of himself jumping over a parked Lamborghini, and doesn’t appear to break a sweat in the process.

Marquise Goodwin won three awards this year and had his best season on the field.

Jimmy Garoppolo called out Rams safety Blake Countess for his helmet-to-helmet on Marquise Goodwin. However Goodwin said he feels fine after being transported to the hospital after a scary moment on the field.

The NFL is preoccupied with the playoffs, however teams, particularly in the NFC West, have been concerned with the rising San Francisco 49ers.
