Marquise Goodwin ended his mercurial season on and off the field, with a head injury. However, the 49ers said that Goodwin will be OK after going to the hospital for observation.

The 49ers blew out the playoff-bound Rams 34-13 to beat a team that sat most of their star players for the post season run. For the 49ers, it was their fifth straight win.

Wide receiver Marquise Goodwin has experienced tragedy off the field and had his best season on it. The way he has dealt with all of it has been impressive and was recognized by the local media.

Marquise Goodwin had another break out game on Sunday and once again it came shortly after a personal tragedy. Goodwin revealed after the 49ers’ 25-23 win over the Titans on Sunday that his biological father passed away earlier this week. This comes just a month after his infant son passed away shortly after being born premature, hours before the 49ers game against the Giants.

While the Titans were driving to take the lead with over a minute left, Jimmy Garopollo talked to every player on offense and told them to stay “locked in.”
