The Audible’s Drew Hoffar, a lifelong Oakland Raiders fan, has a message to Raider Nation: enjoy the ride.

The Raiders currently sit in a 3-way tie with the rival Broncos and Chiefs atop the AFC West. While the Broncos may be the defending Super Bowl champs, The Audible’s Drew Hoffar is till way more worried about the red-hot Chiefs than he is Trevor Siemian and the Broncos.

Drew Hoffar, a lifelong Raiders fan, is all aboard the hype train. But he says Raiders fans might want to pump the breaks a bit, because this team has flaws that are bound to be exposed as the year goes on.

After throwing for more than 500 yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Derek Carr is fast-establishing himself as a legitimate star at quarterback. The Raiders are sitting atop the NFC West after 8 weeks of the season and Gary Radnich is convinced Derek Carr will be the biggest star in the Bay Area before long.

With his year long suspension almost over, Roger Goodell will soon decide the fate of Oakland Raiders pass rusher Aldon Smith, and whether he will be able to return to the team this season.

The Raiders are all but on their way out of Oakland, likely headed to the neon lights of Las Vegas, Nevada. Life-long Raider fan Drew Hoffar from KNBR 1050’s The Audible says some of his fellow fans will continue to follow the team as their own, while some will wash their hands of their beloved squad. Either way, it’s an emotional time for Raider Nation.
