Zaza Pachulia will not be punished by the NBA for his controversial fall on Russell Westbrook in the Golden State Warriors’ blowout victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday.
Looking towards potential playoff matchups, Marcus Thompson told Murph & Mac on Tuesday morning that the Oklahoma City Thunder has the beat chance to best the Warriors.
After the Warriors’ shootaround on Wednesday morning, Durant met with reporters in Oklahoma City and offered his assessment of how Westbrook’s role and responsibilities have changed this season, now that he’s surrounded by two new stars, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony.
When Paul George was traded to Oklahoma City two weeks ago, it was a shocker of a deal, pairing up the four-time All-Star with 2017 MVP Russell Westbrook. But if the Pacers had had their way, an even bigger stunner might have been pulled off.
When Paul George was abruptly traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder last week he didn’t know what to think. George knew he wasn’t long for the Indiana Pacers, he told the team he wouldn’t be re-signing next offseason, but almost no one had projected that he’d end up with the Thunder, including George himself.
The Cavaliers and Pacers have reportedly turned to the Nuggets as a possible third team to help complete a blockbuster Paul George trade that would send George to Cleveland. Kevin Love would reportedly head to Denver in the trade talks.
“This is what the Warriors have created. This massive desperation across the league. Everybody is looking at this space ship that’s hovering over the season, that’s going to destroy everybody. People are freaking out and it’s going to keep happening. Now you’re going to start seeing all kinds of alliances.”
