The State Attorney’s Office in Florida has dropped a misdemeanor domestic violence charge against Redskins linebacker Reuben Foster, according to Hillsborough County court records, as first reported by ESPN.
The Washington Redskins’ decision to claim Reuben Foster off waivers caused a stir throughout the NFL. It also led to a shakeup in Washington’s front office.
Santa Clara police have released body cam footage of their response to an Oct. 12 domestic disturbance call involving Reuben Foster and his ex-girlfriend Elissa Ennis. The edited footage has been published by the San Jose Mercury News.
Elissa Ennis, the woman who accused Reuben Foster of domestic violence in February and November, spoke with ABC about the incidents in a video posted Thursday morning.
Reuben Foster’s ex-girlfriend now says she was lying on the witness stand when she told a Santa Clara County judge in May that she fabricated domestic violence charges against the linebacker.
In a move that few expected, the Washington Redskins claimed Reuben Foster on waivers earlier this week, shortly after the linebacker was released by the 49ers.
