It was an entertaining week of Giants baseball and Bill Laskey and Ryan Covay are back to hand out some grades on this weeks edition of “Grades from the Cove”.
“Grades from the Cove” is a weekly San Francisco Giants podcast with Bill Laskey & Ryan Covay, where the guys will review the previous week of Giants baseball and grade out players, positions and decisions as they deem worthy.
On Wednesday evening Gilbert Arenas joined Ryan Covay on KNBR Tonight, and told an incredible story involving a Fran Tarkenton throwback jersey, chicken wings and former teammate Chris Mills. Arenas didn’t detail exactly when the story took place, but we can assume it was sometime between 2001 and 2003, when the two were teammates with the Warriors.
Although their 2017 championship erased memories of their loss in the NBA Finals the year before, it was not enough to wipe away the Warriors’ disappointment of leaving their 73-win season without a title. Steve Berman told Ryan Covay he believes the Warriors can not only win the Finals this season, but also push for 74 wins.
The Larry O’Brien trophy is officially returning to the Bay Area after the Warriors dethroned LeBron James and the Cavaliers on Monday night.
