The Colin Kaepernick saga has continued to into August as training camps around the league have opened up while the quarterback remains a free agent. Speculation over Kap’s next landing spot seems to have zeroed in on one team in particular though, the Baltimore Ravens.

The 49ers entered training camp without any serious injuries on the 90-man roster. Just three days into camp, however, three members of the secondary have been nicked up and an undrafted rookie’s season has come to an end.

An injury bug at 49ers training camp has forced some undrafted players into the limelight, and they’re mostly thriving.

On Sunday, an offense led by Brian Hoyer went out on a practice field and systematically destroyed the secondary. The ball is routinely going to the right receiver, the pass is accurate.

The major news of the day comes on the injury front. Eric Reid left an 11-on-11 team drill limping on his right leg, returned to the drill later, then was escorted to the locker room by a trainer. Vinnie Sunseri replaced Reid in the starting lineup, highlighting San Francisco’s depth issues in the secondary.
