The San Francisco 49ers announced seven more coaches to its staff as new head coach Kyle Shanahan and new GM John Lynch continue to spend Jed York’s money on their new staff.

The San Francisco 49ers have many needs when it comes to their roster this offseason, but none may be more glaring than finding an elite pass rusher. 1050’s Ted Ramey stops by the Digital Lounge to explain why the team’s top priority should be improving the pass rush.

White blamed Shanahan for being the primary reason that he was released by Atlanta in March of last year, claiming at the time that the former Falcons offensive coordinator wanted him “out of the (offense).” White’s agent even went so far as to claim that Shanahan forced the team to choose between player and coordinator.

Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan’s problems with alcohol abuse helped cost him his job as the San Francisco 49ers’ GM in 2010, after being a member of the organization’s front office for five years. Personal issues also led to his resignation from the Seahawks front office three years later.

Kyle Shanahan is soon to make the first big addition to his coaching staff since his introductory press conference last Thursday.

The 49ers have officially turned the page from the Chip Kelly/Trent Baalke regime and switched to Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch. The new duo, with the help of veteran player personnel evaluators Tom Gamble and Martin Mayhew, are now responsible for the total rebuild of one of the NFL’s most storied franchises.

Not everybody was excited about John Lynch accepting the job as the 49ers general manager. In fact, one member of Lynch’s family was downright distraught.

With Colin Kaepernick expected to opt out of his contract, the San Francisco 49ers are likely to be without a quarterback on their roster come March. Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch addressed the team’s quarterback issues at their joint opening press conference.
