Hitting a home run out of AT&T Park is tough. Hitting a foul ball that lands into a fan’s beer is even tougher. Joe Panik has done both over the last two days.
Although Joe Panik and Evan Longoria both went deep against the Mariners, the Giants were unable to recover after a rough first inning and lost their home opener 6-4.
Tuesday Wilson returned to AT&T Park where he threw out the ceremonial first pitch for the San Francisco Giants home opener against the Seattle Mariners. Wilson entered the field as he did so many times for the Giants: House of Pain blaring on the speakers and a big 38 on his back.
After his two solo home jacks were responsible for the Giants only runs in their four-game season opening series with the Dodgers, Joe Panik went yard again during San Francisco’s home opener on Tuesday at AT&T Park.
Although he wasn’t one of the countless fans eagerly awaiting outside of AT&T Park on Tuesday morning, Larry Baer told Murph & Mac what he’s most excited about the season-opener.
Despite being held to two runs over the first four games, the Giants are pleased with the outcome of the opening series and trust the offense will eventually pick up.
