Tom Tolbert is back with another weekly beer review.

O.J. Simpson was granted parole Thursday after more than eight years in prison for a Las Vegas hotel heist, successfully making his case in a nationally televised hearing that reflected America’s fascination with the former football and movie star.

It’s Friday, which means it’s time for another Beer Review with Mr. T. Tom Tolbert tells the story of his vacation to the midwest, and his experience trying one of the region’s most popular beers.

This week on Tolbert’s Beer Reviews, Mr. T reviews the fresh citrus flavor of San Diego’s Modern Times newest beer, Booming Roller. This beer is a showcase for the juicy awesomeness of Citra hops. These new wave American hops impart a remarkable aroma and flavor that you don’t get with most beers.

Tolbert also gives us his take on the upcoming Finals matchup between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors. This is the third time in the last 3 years that these teams will have faced each other in the Finals, something that has never happened in NBA history until now. The Warriors took the first Finals matchup in 6 games back in 2015 while the Cavaliers shocked the basketball world by overcoming a 3-1 deficit in the Finals to win their first championship as an organization.

In the latest episode of Tolbert’s Beer Review, Tom takes a look at Racer 5 IPA, an award-winning IPA courtesy of Bear Republic Brewing Company in Healdsburg.

Tom Tolbert took another trip to Fieldwork Brewing Company to grab a delicious 16oz. can of The Meadows. The Meadows doesn’t quite match the hops of an IPA, but is still tasty and hoppy. Instead of being purchased at a store, you can find it at one of Fieldwork’s tap rooms in Berkeley, Napa, or Sacramento.
